Ruch Chorzów – Górnik Zabrze 04.10.2014, derby destroyed by the police

Matches between two most titled teams in Poland from Upper Silesia, Ruch Chorzów and Górnik Zabrze are always a big football feats with many fans and amazing atmosphere which could be compared to the worlds biggest games. Unfortunately last 102 Great Derby of Upper Silesia was one of the worst games in last years, all because of Polish police. Few days before game they decided that Ruch Chorzów fans can’t display any choreo for this match because of a “security reasons” but the biggest stupidity they did yesterday when during the stadium security check they found lots of pyrotechnick and… “Explosive charge fitted in electronic detonator” on away sector. People in Poland have no doubt that it was a police provocation. Because of that 557 Górnik fans (they get only 557 tickets) were not allowed to go in the stadium. Can You imagine the frustration of Górnik Zabrze fans who were ready to go to the most impotrant match in the season and police told them “sorry but You can’t go”. Ruch Chorzów fans decided to protest and don’t display any flags, just few baners “Fuck the police” “Freedom for Ultras” and “Krycha P.D.W” its special banner for their friend from Widzew Łódź in prison. Moreover Ruch Chorzów fans did a nice corteo with lots of pyro. Górnik Zabrze won 2:1 and their fans welcomed the players outside their stadium with lots of pyro, transparet and chants.
