Aberdeen FC fans have been targeted by Dutch football fans in the Netherlands.
A group of around 200 FC Groningen supporters are said to have charged at the Red Army in the Dutch city this afternoon.
Mounted police officers are said to have chased down the FC Groningen fans following the incident.
A large number of Dons fans have made the journey to the country for tonight’s Europa League clash.
An Aberdeen spokesman said: “We are in the process of trying to find out exactly what happened but the information we have at the moment is the Groningen supporters tried to attack the Aberdeen supporters, but the police stepped in immediately and dealt with the issue.
“We have had no reports of any Aberdeen supporters being injured but we will update the information as soon as possible.”
