Police made eight arrests at Boro’s clash with Leeds.
Officers arrested the eight men – four Teessiders and four from West Yorkshire – following “isolated pockets of disorder both inside and outside the ground”.
From Middlesbrough side arrested were a man in his 30s who was arrested on suspicion of entering the field of play, a man in his 20s on suspicion of a public order offence, a man in his 30s on suspicion of assault and a teenager on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.
The arrests of men from Leeds included a man in his 40s who was arrested on suspicion of throwing missiles onto the pitch, and two teenage boys and a man in his 40s on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.
