Romania: UTA Arad vs. ASU Poli Timișoara (second division)
The derby between UTA Arad and ASU Poli Timișoara was stopped in 60 minutes of the match when Poli Timișoara players left the pitch, in protest, because all their fans were not allowed into the stadium.
The whole conflict arose just before the match, when the organizers said that they can only allow 70 away fans to the stadium, but to Arad came 350 away fans with valid tickets. After the negotiations, upset away fans clashed with the police, then Poli Timișoara players left the pitch in protest because of what was happening outside the stadium. After the match, one of Poli’s players said they know they will lose 3 points at the “green table”, but their fans are more important to them. ASU Poli Timișoara is owned by the fans. Their project started in the 5th tier.
