Stone Island get playful with colours and garment dyeing for the second instalment of their Prototype Research Series.
Following on from their exhibition of colours, light and garment dyeing at this years Tortona Design Week in Milan, Stone Island will now be releasing a very exclusive drop. The Stone Island Prototype Research Series 02 sees the brand exploring 50 different unique colours on the colour spectrum utilising their latest fabric technology Garment Dyed Dyneema®.
Limited to 50 pieces each jacket is fully reversible and features the robust yet lightweight Dyneema® fabric with a lightweight nylon tela backing and a performance membrane. Each individual jacket has then been sealed by hand with a Dyneema® re-enforced tape. The jackets are left for a week before the garment dyeing process to enable maximum fabric performance. After the garment dyeing process has taken place the nylon tela takes a deeper colour whilst the Dyneema® layer takes its own unique finish making each piece individual and unique.
The limited edition Stone Island Prototype Research Series 02 Garment Dyed Dyneema® will be dropping this coming Wedenesday 26th April 2017 exclusively from stoneisland.com.
